These Kukui Nut Lei Necklaces are hand strung on the Big Island of Hawai`i by our kukui Lei Kumu (Lei Master), using only the finest kukui nut and koa materials available. Each nut is pre-screened to ensure only the best kukui nuts are used.

To ensure Quality, we hand inspect every kukui nut to ensure that there are no hairline cracks. We do not use flimsy satin ribbons or stretch yarn! We use 3/8" thick durable ribbons for dependability and longevity. A hand tied knot is between each kukui nut or bead making sure the drill hole does not exceed the size of the ribbon knot. This prevents damage to adjacent kukui nuts or koa beads. Real kukui nuts are not perfect and it is this quality that makes them so unique and beautiful. Compare before you shop. For those who prefer a less "chunky" necklace we offer small kukui nut lei necklaces. A custom hand strung necklace using smaller kukui nuts on 3/8" black durable ribbons (not satin ribbon or "stretch yarn"). A little more expensive than our traditional lei necklace since smaller nuts are hard to come by and are not as abundant as larger nuts. However, this kukui nut necklace is elegant and rarely available in a full strand necklace. Approximately 48" long including ribbon ties. Polished kukui nut strand is approximately 26 1/2" for natural fit.

This Kuku Nut Lei Necklace was designed by our Lei Kumu (Master Lei Maker) of the Big Island. Strung on 3/8" black grosgrain durable ribbons (not satin ribbon or "stretch yarn"). The entire lei necklace is made of black kukui nuts with a rare polished Hawaiian Koa wood bead positioned in the center. Approximately 48" long including ribbon ties. Kukui Lei nut strand is approximately 26 1/2" for natural fit.
